Kingston Rudieska is a nine-piece Korean ska band playing a mix of Jamaican music styles,
including ska jazz, reggae, dub and nyahbangi. Always staying “rooted” in roots ska,
and getting their audiences to skank, they have created their own so-called “party ska,”
performing not only at local festivals, but also introducing the Korean ska sound at overseas
festivals, including the Philippines, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, Canada,
the USA, and Cuba. Celebrating 15 years since their debut on the music scene, veteran
musicians Kingston Rudieska are still going strong and expanding Korean popular music’s
horizons.
